Face check on any Android phone
Enrol a worker once, with their consent. After that, tapping Verify on their card marks them Present with a green check, and the saved record shows it was face-checked.
Your site engineer scans each worker's face on an ordinary Android phone at the gate. The first scan checks them in, the evening scan checks them out, and the hours decide whether it was a full, three-quarter, half or quarter day — no muster roll, no proxy attendance, and payroll that follows what was really worked.

A paper register can be filled in by anyone, at any time, for anyone. CrewSense ties every mark to the worker's face, the server's clock and the engineer who took it.
Enrol a worker once, with their consent. After that, tapping Verify on their card marks them Present with a green check, and the saved record shows it was face-checked.
A blink and a small head turn are needed before a face is accepted, so a printed photo or a picture on another phone never passes for a worker who did not turn up.
The morning scan records the in time, the evening scan the out time — both from the server. 8 hours is a full day, 6 three-quarters, 4 a half, less a quarter, and the engineer can adjust before saving.
Scan to mark: the app names the worker from their face and shows their skills and hours, ready to check in or out. If two workers are too alike to call, it names nobody rather than guess.
Marks taken without internet are saved on the phone and sent the moment the connection returns. Sites with patchy coverage keep their attendance without anyone re-typing it.
Your own workers individually, contractor-supplied gangs as a headcount per skill, and casual day-labour as an anonymous headcount — each priced the way it is paid.
Add a labourer and enrol their face with their consent — straight after adding them, or on site from the Attendance screen.
The site engineer opens roll call and scans each worker. Their in time is recorded against the skill they are working today.
The next scan checks them out. The hours suggest the day type, and any change the engineer makes is marked on the record.
Record the headcount each contractor supplied, per skill, and any casual day-labour, on the same screen.
Payroll prices every saved day at the right rate and deducts advances. On Professional and Enterprise the worker can confirm receiving their wages with the same face scan.
On most Indian sites attendance is still a register at the gate or a WhatsApp message at the end of the day. It is easy to mark a friend present, easy to round six hours up to a full day, and nearly impossible to prove anything a month later when the contractor's bill and your count do not agree.
CrewSense makes the record hard to fake and easy to check. A face check needs the worker in front of the phone. The in and out times come from the server, not from whoever is holding the phone. A changed day type says it was changed. And because the same record drives payroll, nobody re-types attendance into a wage sheet at month end.
It is also careful with the data that makes this work: no photo is kept, the face is stored as an encrypted set of numbers that never leaves the server, and the worker's consent is recorded before anything is captured.
No. The face check uses the front camera of the site engineer's Android phone, so there is no device to buy, install or keep charged at the gate. Enrol each worker once, with their consent, and they are recognised from then on.
No. Before a face is accepted the app asks for a blink and a small head turn, and a printed photo or a picture on another phone cannot do that. In roll call, if two enrolled workers look too alike to tell apart, nobody is named and the engineer checks that worker by hand.
From the check-in and check-out times, which come from the server, not the phone's clock. 8 hours or more is a full day, 6 hours three-quarters, 4 hours half, and less is a quarter day. The site engineer can change the day before saving, and the change is marked so it is never silent. Pay follows the day that is saved.
Attendance can still be marked by hand. New marks are saved on the phone and sent automatically when the connection returns, and nothing is lost if the app is closed in between. The face check itself needs a connection, because the match happens on the server; if your company requires a check, hand-marked records are flagged for review rather than refused.
The photo is never uploaded. The phone turns it into 128 numbers and deletes it; the server stores those numbers encrypted with Google Cloud's key management, and they are never sent back to any app. A check only answers matched or not matched. The worker's consent is recorded at enrolment, and removing their face deletes it permanently.
Yes. Each saved day is priced at the worker's skill and district rate in force on that date, and lands in payroll with advances deducted. On the Professional and Enterprise plans a worker can also confirm receiving wages or an advance with the same face scan, so there is proof of payment as well as proof of attendance.
